What makes great leaders get it right? “Foundations of Leadership” helps those leading people to understand that leading others begins with their own personal leadership that then extends out to those around them. It is a mixture of self awareness, willingness and skills that culminate to create inspiring practical leadership that makes the difference.

Drawing on the unique Action-Centred leadership model of John Adair, the world’s first professor of leadership, the Foundations of Leadership programme revolves around the concept that there is such thing as best practice leadership. That is, the role and responsibilities of a leader are universal in all working contexts, all fields of enterprise, and all levels of leadership.

This is a 2-day public programme provides a core understanding of leadership to enhance understanding of the impact a leader can have. Participants will gain new skills and knowledge which can be utilised immediately.

  • A practical model of action-centred leadership (Adair)
  • The role and demands of the leader
  • Qualities and functions of leaders
  • Practical application of learning through effective meetings
  • State of mind management and motivation skills
  • Action planning for leadership in the workplace

  • New knowledge and skills to immediately begin utilising on the job
